Mandolin music during the covid19 crisis

Mandolin New England had scheduled a performance for May of 2020, which obviously never took place due to the pandemic.

And while we rehearse as often as we can online, there is no substituting being together in one location.

Some of our members are immunocompromised, and until they receive the green light from their doctors, can’t leave their homes. This is unfortunate. It is the state of mandolin orchestras today, that most of them are comprised of older people who would be susceptible to the virus more so than young people.

The age-old question is this, how do we encourage young people to join the orchestra, to play classical music together?
